MEADOWS OF DAN, Va., March 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Aerial, a dominant aviation survivability and technical sewing solution leader in the United States, in combination with Argosy Private Equity of Wayne, PA, a decades-long leader in the lower middle market private equity space, announced the acquisition of Hazard Protection Systems (HPS).
Founded in 2006, HPS provides patented passive Fuel Tank Fire Suppression (“FTFS”) systems for Military combat, tactical, and other specialty vehicles. FTFS kits are designed for thwarting combustion from coring threats (IED, RPG, EFP) and from vehicular collusion. The HPS customer base includes the United States Army, Marine Corps, NATO allies, and various tactical truck OEMs.
“For decades, Aerial has been manufacturing all FTFS systems for Hazard Protection Systems. This, combined with the survival, safety, and protection product fit of HPS’s solutions with the Aerial mission, makes this acquisition a natural growth initiative for the Company. We will continue to deliver the existing FTFS systems and Bread Box protective explosive transport bags, for the warfighter. What is even more exciting are the future opportunities for innovative applications of these patented fire suppression and explosives protection technologies in our customer’s evolving mission sets and the hostile environments of the future,” said Thomas Weidley, Aerial’s CEO.
Aerial and Hazard Protection System are working together on a seamless transition for the company. “We know the product and the customers and are ready to quickly integrate HPS into Aerial’s business operations to deliver for warfighters at home and abroad in harm’s way,” said Weidley.
