
As organisations move from AI experimentation to deployment at scale, governing and protecting AI agents is becoming a critical priority. AvePoint has responded with a series of enhancements to its Confidence Platform designed to help enterprises manage AI agents, strengthen data protection and improve governance across increasingly complex cloud environments.
The announcement comes as businesses continue to accelerate their use of AI agents while grappling with the operational and security challenges they introduce. AvePoint’s latest State of AI Report found that 88.4% of organisations experienced at least one AI agent-related security incident over the past year, underlining the growing gap between AI adoption and effective governance. The report also found that investment in third-party governance tools is now the top priority for enterprises over the next 12 months. One of the most significant additions is new backup and recovery support for Microsoft Copilot Studio agents within AvePoint’s AgentPulse platform. The capability enables organisations to back up and restore not only the data associated with an agent, but the agent itself, including its prompts, orchestration, logic, topics and configuration. AvePoint says this is the first solution of its kind available for Microsoft Copilot Studio.
AgentPulse has also been extended to provide visibility into Salesforce Agentforce agents, allowing organisations to discover, monitor and govern AI agents across Microsoft, Google and Salesforce environments through a single management interface. New policy controls enable administrators to assign ownership, apply data sensitivity classifications and introduce governance guardrails as AI agents are deployed.

Beyond AI agents, AvePoint has expanded protection across a wider range of enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure. New data protection capabilities now extend to ServiceNow, AWS S3, Azure Kubernetes and Entra External ID, helping organisations manage data consistently across multicloud and SaaS environments.
The company has also introduced additional governance capabilities for enterprise applications, Microsoft Power Apps and Azure resources, with new lifecycle management features designed to automate ownership, reduce manual administration and support ongoing compliance.
For managed service providers, AvePoint has enhanced its Elements platform with new Azure security assessments, multi-tenant baseline deployment, Azure Virtual Desktop monitoring and centralised application lifecycle management. The latest updates are designed to help partners standardise deployments, improve customer security postures and scale managed services more efficiently across multiple customer environments.
The announcement reflects a broader shift taking place across the enterprise AI landscape. As organisations move beyond deploying individual AI tools towards managing estates of autonomous agents, resilience, recoverability and governance are becoming just as important as model performance. Recent high-profile incidents involving AI agents have reinforced the importance of ensuring these systems are properly governed, monitored and recoverable as they become embedded in business-critical processes.
Rather than treating AI agents as isolated applications, businesses are increasingly looking to apply the same operational controls they already expect for critical enterprise systems. As AI adoption continues to accelerate, capabilities such as governance, backup and recovery are rapidly becoming foundational requirements for organisations looking to scale AI safely and confidently.
