(Populus) brand, charity partner, and an important part of ACE’s Chip In For Charity initiative. This year, ACE expanded its relationship with HWFA to be a More Than a Pet campaign sponsor.

The More Than a Pet campaign raises awareness and support for expanding access to affordable veterinary care, pet food, and pet-inclusive housing. In the U.S. alone, more than 20 million companion animals experience poverty with their families and 70% of those animals have never seen a veterinarian In fact, 43% of all pet owners have been unable to pay for their pets’ needs at some point due to financial reasons. 

Last year, ACE employees volunteered at the Los Angeles More Than a Pet Unpacking Pawty, distributing 17,308 pounds of pet food, providing 121,800 meals, and supporting over 300 people and pets – all at no cost to families.

ACE donated $74,192 to HWFA through its Flare Account^® Chip In For Charity initiative¹ and Porte’s^® #DoorToChange² charitable giving program. ACE’s Chip in for Charity program allows customers to support one of several charities simply by using their co-branded Flare Account^® charity debit card wherever they shop. When the card is swiped, ACE donates an amount equal to a portion of every purchase made to the associated charity up to preset limits. Populus added HWFA as a Porte #DoorToChange charity in the Porte app. Porte members simply select HWFA as their #DoorToChange charity, and at no additional cost, Populus makes contributions based on card usage.
