
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. & CHEYENNE, Wyo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As a commitment to the safety and well-being of its inmates, the Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC) is proud to announce its new partnership with leading correctional healthcare company, NaphCare. Through a recently awarded contract, NaphCare will oversee healthcare services across the WDOCโs five correctional facilities beginning July 1, 2024. To prepare for the start-up of services, NaphCare will provide transition services in May and June of 2024.
Through this partnership, NaphCare will provide medical, mental health, dental, and pharmaceutical care for inmates housed in WDOCโs facilities. The WDOC will also integrate NaphCareโs corrections-specific electronic health record and comprehensive medical management system, TechCare, to efficiently connect clinical protocols to inmatesโ specific needs and deliver reliable recordkeeping compliant with national standards. These innovative solutions aim to improve care delivery, staff efficiency and communication, compliance, documentation, and reporting across all WDOC correctional facilities.
