Reolite Secures Historic U.S. EPA Registration and Earns Recognition from MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Paving the Way for Entry into $2.7 Trillion Apparel and Plastics Markets

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Robin K. International Inc. (DBA Reolite, Chairman Billy Kang), headquartered in Los Angeles, has achieved a world-first by securing official registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA, Reg. No. 102257-2) for an antimicrobial powder based on the combined active ingredients of silver Ion(Ag⁺) and zinc Ion(Zn²⁺).

This registration is regarded as the first-ever dual-metal ion approval in the global antimicrobial materials industry, surpassing the limitations of single-ion products and marking a new milestone for the sector.

With this achievement, Reolite has obtained the qualification to enter the $660 billion global plastics market and the $2 trillion global apparel market.

Within three weeks of the announcement, the company was selected as a top-tier vendor by a leading global electronics corporation and began joint development projects. Through Japan’s SIAA and SEK certifications, Reolite has demonstrated performance, proving 99.999% antibacterial efficacy even after 100 industrial wash cycles.

Reolite has also completed registration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), enabling official listing for use in medical gowns and hospital textiles. In Korea, the company received the “K-Beauty Healthcare Grand Prize,” sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. In addition, by developing infinitely recyclable antimicrobial fabrics based on CR-PET, the company is strengthening its ESG and circular economy strategies.

The technology has also drawn attention from the defense sector. At the AFFOA Summit (Advanced Functional Fabrics of America) held in Boston this September, Reolite was invited as a full member and received high evaluations from MIT Lincoln Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Defense research institute.

Subsequently, Reolite was officially registered in the DoD’s Joint Enterprise Technology Tool (JETT) database, recognized not only as a civilian material but also as a strategic asset for defense and public health security.

Chairman Billy Kang commented, “Reolite is more than a materials company. We are proud to have grown from the fashion industry into a strategic technology enterprise connecting plastics, apparel, healthcare, and defense—with solutions spanning more than 2,000 product lines.”

This achievement goes beyond product approval. It marks a significant turning point for the antimicrobial materials industry, with Reolite’s technology expected to expand its impact across plastics, apparel, medical, and defense markets worldwide.
