NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — point.me, the points and travel reward search platform, today released the results of its second annual Airline Loyalty Program Rankings, evaluating 59 programs worldwide. The rankings provide travelers with an independent look at how airline programs compare on earning, redemption, and overall value, helping them make smarter decisions with their rewards.

Air France–KLM’s Flying Blue retained the top spot globally, followed by American Airlines AAdvantage, which jumped from No. 6 to No. 2, and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, rising from No. 7 to No. 3.

Benjamin Lipsey, President of Flying Blue and Senior Vice President of Customer Loyalty for Air France/KLM Group said: “We are pleased to top the rankings released today by point.me. By harnessing the power of point.me, Flying Blue broadens its reach, captivating travelers and fostering loyalty, even among those who have yet to experience our airline firsthand. Point.me elevates brand awareness and cultivates a community of avid explorers drawn to the promise of Air France, KLM, and all our partners.”

“Getting real value from airline loyalty points is often significantly harder for passengers than it needs to be,” said Adam Morvitz, Founder and CEO of point.me. “These rankings draw on our team’s collective travel expertise and deep data-led insight from our reward search engine. This data-driven approach empowers travelers to make strategic decisions about where to invest their loyalty, ensuring they’re not just collecting points, but actually maximizing their travel wealth.”

In this second annual ranking of airline loyalty programs, point.me and its top points and miles experts ran extensive qualitative and quantitative data analyses, including results from more than 22 million searches and more than 500M search results on point.me, and identified the best programs against eight categories important to modern travelers. These include ease of earning points (even without being a frequent traveler), ease of redemption, redemption rates, award availability, customer service, and policies around award holds, changes, and cancellations.

“This comprehensive ranking represents more than just a list — it’s a roadmap for loyalty programs to drive genuine value for current and prospective customers,” said Tiffany Funk, Co-Founder and President at point.me. “With over 22 million searches powering our analysis, we’re able to determine how programs are positioning themselves against the competitive landscape, and which programs best deliver on their promises. When we see a program like American Airlines jump from sixth to second place, or Alaska Airlines rise to third, it shows that airlines are listening and evolving their approach in the market.”

The full results and complete methodology are available in a report released today: World’s Best Airline Rewards Programs, which features comments from some of the world’s leading reward travel experts.
