PLANO, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As we remember the sacrifices of many this week, ZIPS Car Wash is cleaning up and giving back from September 11th through September 14th at 215 of their car wash locations across the country. The “Patriot Weekend” initiative at ZIPS Car Wash designates a portion of each car wash purchase to support the company’s goal of contributing $100,000 to Folds of Honor, thereby advancing educational opportunities for families of military personnel and first responders.
Pete Nani, CEO of ZIPS Car Wash, stated regarding the upcoming event: “We will never forget the sacrifice of so many Americans and their families as we remember the events from 9/11. We’re excited to honor heroes during our Patriot Weekend by giving back to Folds of Honor from every single car wash purchase that’s made Thursday through Sunday. We invite communities across the country to participate and take advantage of savings at all our ZIPS Car Wash, Rocket Express Car Wash, and Jet Brite Car Wash locations across the country.”
“We are so grateful to ZIPS Car Wash and its patriotic customers for supporting our deserving recipients,” said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “In 2022, the families of fallen or disabled first responders were added to our mission. The outstanding team at ZIPS recognizes the selfless sacrifices first responders and their families make every day. ZIPS commitment to providing a life-changing education is making a real difference.”
As ZIPS Car Wash is celebrating upgrades to the interior and exterior of 35 locations across the country this year, they’re also recognizing local heroes across the country. Next week’s focus is on the Re-Grand Opening of four remodeled Asheville, NC, ZIPS locations:
- 360 Airport Road in Arden (Re-Grand Opening Ceremony location)
- 866 Patton Avenue in Asheville
- 125 Tunnel Road in Asheville
- 1 Gill Road in Weaverville
A Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 11am alongside the Asheville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors at ZIPS Car Wash, 360 Airport Road in Arden. ZIPS is offering free car washes all day on Wednesday at these upgraded locations.
At next week’s Ribbon Cutting ceremony, ZIPS will recognize Lilly Guinn with a $500 scholarship. Lilly, of Fayetteville, NC, is a Junior at Western Carolina University majoring in Recreational Therapy. Her mother, Master Sgt. Katrine Elizabeth Guinn, gave 20 years to the U.S. Air Force Reserve and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and was disabled in the line of duty. In 2024, ZIPS and its loyal customers donated over $92,000 to Folds of Honor to drive academic success for military and first responder families and the brand believes it will reach its $100,000 goal for 2025 this weekend.
Rebecca Latacz, Chief Marketing Officer at ZIPS Car Wash, expresses sincere appreciation on behalf of the company to the Guinn family, as well as all U.S. Veterans and active military members, for their service and sacrifice in support of our country’s freedom. Latacz also invites customers to participate in “Patriot Weekend” at more than 215 ZIPS Car Wash locations nationwide, contributing to academic achievement initiatives for these families.
