NEW YORK, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Novig has hired Alex Wolf as its Chief Legal Officer. In addition, Chris Staszak is joining the company as Senior Legal Counsel, Government and Regulatory Affairs.
Alex brings more than a decade of legal experience spanning sports gaming, technology, and high-stakes litigation. He previously served as Head of Regulatory Affairs and Senior Regulatory Counsel at Underdog Sports, and as Director, Senior Counsel at FanDuel. Earlier in his career, he was a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, where he focused on complex investigations and regulatory matters. He also clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and served as a congressional investigator. Alex will lead Novig’s legal, regulatory, and compliance functions as the company expands its national presence.
Chris brings a similarly broad range of experience, having held legal and investigative roles across state and federal government. Most recently, he served as Director and Counsel for Regulatory and Compliance at Underdog Sports and previously served as Senior Counsel at FanDuel and Senior Investigative Counsel with the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. Earlier in his career, he worked in the U.S. Senate, as an Assistant Attorney General in the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and Assistant Counsel to the Governor of New York. He also served as Senior Investigative Counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Chris will focus on government affairs, licensing, and regulatory engagement.
Alex and Chris previously worked together at Underdog and bring a complementary skill set to Novig’s growing legal team.
