
The region’s largest biotech network expands its leadership structure to strengthen collaboration, visibility and growth
MIAMI, Oct. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Miami Biotech Collective (“MBC”), South Florida’s largest and most influential community of biotech leaders, today introduced its Board of Advisors and Women’s Leadership Council, created to help advance the region’s biotech future and build relationships, amplify influence and drive professional, company and regional growth.

Board of Advisors
- Raquel Cabo, MSc, Founder and President of Miami Biotech Collective, is a biopharma executive with over 20 years of experience across biotech and medtech. She has held strategic senior leadership roles at Ovid Therapeutics, GE Healthcare, Medtronic, and Columbia University Medical Center, and advises multiple non-profits.
- Rich Daly, MBA, CEO of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, is a seasoned executive with over 25 years in pharma and biotech, leading transformative therapies and organizational growth across companies, including CARsgen Therapeutics, AstraZeneca, BMS, Takeda, and TAP Pharmaceuticals.
- Daniel Teper, PharmD, MBA, CEO of Naya Therapeutics, is a serial biopharma entrepreneur and strategist with extensive experience founding, leading, and advising companies, and executing partnerships, M&A, and financing deals internationally.
- James Sapirstein, MBA, Biotech Founder and CEO, is a pharmaceutical industry veteran with over 39 years of experience in large pharma and biotech, founding CEO of Tobira Therapeutics, former leader of Alliqua and Contravir, and active on multiple biotech boards, including BIO.
