Continuing the legacy of the iconic OSAR with new 36mm and 46mm case sizes
TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Marathon Watch, the leading supplier of genuine military timing devices to governments and civilians, today unveiled the completion of its “Original Search and Rescue” (OSAR) collection. Building on the success of the 41mm OSAR-D that launched in September 2024, and the Arctic Edition that launched in April 2025, the expanded lineup now includes the new 36mm and 46mm models to accommodate all wrist sizes, in both dial colours. This launch marks the completion of the OSAR lineup and underscores Marathon’s commitment to delivering mission-ready tool watches.
Rooted in the legacy of the original 41mm SAR-D, which set the benchmark for Search and Rescue watches, the OSAR-D series is engineered for mission readiness and peak performance. Enhanced features include improved MaraGlo⢠illumination, larger geometric indices, and optimized cyclops date window clarity. The 36mm edition offers a more compact fit, while the 46mm edition provides maximum presence and legibility, even in the harshest environments. To further improve readability in bright or snow-blind conditions, Arctic white dials are available across the entire collection.
“Completing the OSAR lineup is a milestone for our legacy,” says Mitchell Wein, President of Marathon Watch. “This collection reflects decades of experience in building mission-ready timepieces for Search and Rescue operators. It’s the embodiment of our commitment to precision, durability, and service.”
Each OSAR model is powered by a dependable Swiss-made Sellita automatic movement: the SW200 for the 36mm and 41mm editions, and for the first time, the SW600 for the 46mm edition, which boasts an impressive 62-hour power reserve. Each watch also incorporates an IncablocĀ® Shock Absorber, ensuring the resilience and reliability required for extreme operations.
The completion of the OSAR lineup furthers Marathon’s legacy of crafting purpose-built instruments trusted by military and search and rescue professionals worldwide.
The lineup features both Standard and Arctic dial versions, with strap and bracelet options that suit every preference. The 36mm edition retails for $1,200 USD on a rubber strap and $1,600 USD on a stainless-steel bracelet. The 41mm edition retails for $1,800 USD on a rubber strap and $2,200 USD on a stainless-steel bracelet. The 46mm edition is priced at $2,500 USD on a rubber strap and $3,000 USD on a stainless-steel bracelet.
