Glide Identity unveils SIM-anchored, phishing-resistant identity solutions at Authenticate 2025

Collaborating with industry leaders, including T-Mobile and Verizon, Google Cloud, and the Android ecosystem, Glide aligns with FIDO Alliance’s mission for passwordless cryptography

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Glide Identity, a digital identity security company, launches its flagship authentication products, MagicalAuthĀ and SuperPasskey, atĀ Authenticate 2025. The platform is the first SIM-anchored, cryptographically based identity layer designed to protect against AI-enhanced fraud while keeping authentication and verification effortless for users. This launch reiterates Glide’s mission: AI-safe, agent-ready continuous identity built for humans and agents.

Strategic Collaboration AcrossĀ Telco, Cloud and Android
Upgrading global authentication requires collaboration across carriers, cloud and device ecosystems. Glide is collaborating with industry leaders globally, including T-Mobile and Verizon, and Google Cloud,Ā  strategic partners that enable the global ecosystem to deliver next-generation cryptographic authentication. Glide leverages the Verifiable Credentials API on Android to deliver seamless, device-bound trust.

  • Glide’sĀ MagicalAuth is the first commercial deployment of the T-Mobile SIM-based Network Authentication API in the U.S.
  • Google Cloud provides the critical infrastructure that delivers the low-latency, scalable, and secure services needed for authentication solutions at a global scale. It also offers a full technical stack that enablesĀ telcos worldwide to expose their advanced, SIM-anchored cryptographic capabilities to enterprise customers.
  • TheĀ FIDO Alliance is a mission-aligned standardization body advancing passwordless cryptography. Glide’s solution complements and extends passkeys with SIM-anchored cryptographic assurance and recovery.

Passkeys provide passwordless, cryptographic authentication for seamless and secure login. However, current passkey solutions still rely on SMS one-time passwords for step-up authentication, which are vulnerable to phishing, social engineering and interception. Glide’s MagicalAuth addresses these vulnerabilities by combining SIM-based cryptographic authentication with carrier network signals, protecting against SIM swaps, device swaps, and number recycling.

“Traditional authentication methods will soon become obsolete,” said Eran Haggiag, CEO and founder of Glide Identity. “AI has become the ultimate hacking tool, making anything that isn’t cryptographically protected vulnerable to attack. We’re facing a future where millions of AI agents could be deployed to steal money and compromise accounts at an unprecedented scale. We as a society have a narrow window to upgrade our identity infrastructure, which requires collaboration across the telecommunications, technology and financial services industries in every country.”

Introduce MagicalAuth and SuperPasskey
MagicalAuth transitions from SMS-based one-time passwords (OTPs), which are vulnerable to interception, social engineering and AI-powered attacks, including voice cloning and deepfakes. Instead of sending codes via text or email, MagicalAuth leverages the private key that exists in every cellphone that telcos across the world have already distributed to more than 5 billion people to produce cryptographic proof of device possession and bind identity coupled with network signals to protect from SIM Swap, Device Swap and Number recycling. SuperPasskey builds upon MagicalAuth by adding FIDO2 passkeys and verifiable credentials for a non-phishable experience across login, step-up and recovery — designed both for humans and AI agents.

Glide reduces account takeover incidents, fraud and scams while driving higher conversion rates. The company’s solutions offer predictable costs compared with volatile OTP expenses and enable fast integration through simple APIs and SDKs that work seamlessly with existing CIAM platforms, enabling fast adoption at scale and the FIDO infrastructure.

Glide’s ambitious product roadmap is supported by its recent Series A funding round, which raised over $20 million from investors including Crosspoint Capital Partners, Amigos Venture Capital, Singtel Innov8 VC, Sir Ronald Cohen and Fidelity International Strategic Ventures. Payment giants, the largest banks, and fintechs are actively piloting the technology and planning to go live early next year. Now available in beta in the U.S. and launching general availability in Q1, expanding to billions of users throughout 2026.

Industry Perspectives

Dan Thygesen, SVP T-Mobile Product, Partnerships & Growth and Head of Wholesale & Innovation: “SIM-based authentication has been shown to help improve security and remove barriers for customers to securely access sensitive data. T-Mobile’s APIs enable partners like Glide to give businesses and customers the peace of mind that only trusted devices are accessing the information they need, which can significantly reduce the risks of fraud and help prevent data exploits.”

Shamik Basu, Vice President, Strategic Connectivity & IoT, Verizon Business: “By making SIM-anchored protection more accessible, Verizon and Glide are building a stronger foundation of trust for the digital economy. This kind of collaboration, enabled through Verizon APIs, is essential for furthering real change in digital security by helping to protect both consumers and businesses from the growing threat of digital fraud.”

Sridhar Gollapudi, Telco Market Lead at Google Cloud:Ā “Our work with Glide reflects Google Cloud’s commitment to scalable, cryptographic identity solutions. With our infrastructure and developer tooling, enterprises can adopt next-generation, Open-Gateway-aligned authentication that meets evolving threats and regulatory needs.”

Andrew Shikiar, Executive Director & CEO, FIDO Alliance: “We’re pleased to see Glide announce solutions here at Authenticate that will further FIDO’s mission of reducing the world’s reliance on passwords. Glide’s products are anchored with a FIDO Certified server and stand to help enterprises reduce risks and costs associated with relying on SMS for onboarding and registering new devices.”
