Expert’s Choice ā Fimo Health
Fimo Health, a German company using Garmin smartwatches to track biometric data for quantitative monitoring and assessment of cancer-related fatigue (CrF), was selected as Expert’s Choice. By collecting vital data such as heart rate, steps and stress levels, Fimo Health analyzes the dynamic patterns of CrF, seeking to improve diagnoses and support better management of the condition for cancer patients.
People’s Choice ā Optimity
Optimity, a Canadian-born technology company focused on creating daily nudges, challenges and rewards with Garmin smartwatches to drive behavioral change, was selected as People’s Choice. Through personalized micro-activities and Garmin integration, Optimity helps users build sustainable habits across physical, mental, and financial health to deliver measurable outcomes for users and enterprise partners.
Garmin Health Awards background information
This year’s finalists presented their solutions to two different panels of judges ā one made up of industry experts and the other of Summit attendees. Each submission was evaluated on customer benefit, scalability, uniqueness, innovation and performance, as well as how they aligned with the Garmin Health key areas of focus: healthcare and research, insurance and employee well-being, and fitness and wellness.
Expert’s Choice and People’s Choice winners each received Garmin smartwatches and fitness trackers worth up to $10,000.

Held this year at the New York Stock Exchange, the Garmin Health Summit began with an invite-only media event attended by journalists focused on health, technology and the intersection of the two. Beginning with remarks by Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the program shared new products, a historic collaboration and exciting findings from a current research study.

It seeks to improve health outcomes for mothers and babies by collecting data that can assist medical professionals in mitigating risks prevalent during and after pregnancy.
- New insights about happiness from Harvard and Oxford researchers: After analyzing the survey results and biometric data of thousands of participants, the research team of the Health and Happiness Study presented its findings.
