Gamma Surpasses $100M ARR, Raises at $2.1B Valuation as It Replaces PowerPoint for the AI Era

The round includes a secondary raise providing early employees with liquidity, recognizing the teamโ€™s role in building Gammaโ€™s success

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Gamma, the fastest-growing AI platform for visual storytelling, today announced $68 million in Series B funding at a $2.1B valuation led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Accel, Uncork Capital, and others. The company also announced that it has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). The round includes a secondary raise designed to provide liquidity for early employees โ€” a reflection of the foundersโ€™ belief that Gammaโ€™s success should be shared by the people who built it.

While many enterprise AI companies are grappling with inflated valuations and lagging revenue, Gamma has taken a different path. The company has been profitable for over two years and scaled to $100 million in ARR with only $23 million in initial funding and a lean 50-person team. The companyโ€™s growth has been fueled by Gammaโ€™s loyal customer base, which consists of 70 million users globally. To date, Gamma customers have created more than 400 million presentations, websites, and other assets, with over 1 million pieces of content generated in Gamma every day.

โ€œAt a16z, weโ€™ve been using Gamma internally for market maps, social media posts, you name it. It has fundamentally changed how we communicate,โ€ said Sarah Wang, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. โ€œWe couldnโ€™t be more excited to back this incredible team and the transformative product they are building.โ€

Since its inception, Gamma has focused on redefining how people create and share ideas. What began as an AI-powered replacement for PowerPoint has evolved into a complete visual storytelling platform that helps teams create presentations, websites, and interactive documents in minutes. The companyโ€™s latest release, Gamma 3.0, introduced a built-in AI design agent that helps users turn rough ideas, documents, or links into fully-designed presentations in minutes. The platformโ€™s AI-native interface, smart layouts, and collaborative workspace make it a go-to tool for teams, educators, and enterprises looking to communicate ideas faster and more effectively.

โ€œWe retired PowerPoint. Every document now runs through Gamma, from internal reports to high-stakes proposals. We produce 50+ brand-consistent decks a day and hundreds of internal documents and are saving at least 50,000 hours a year. The real shift is focus: our teams spend more time on what matters for us and our clients,โ€ said Jaspar Eyears, CEO of Another Company, the largest independent PR and marketing agency in Latin America.

โ€œGamma is solving a universal problem โ€“ everyone has ideas worth sharing, but not everyone has the time or design skills to make them compelling,โ€ said Grant Lee, CEO and co-founder of Gamma. โ€œGamma levels the playing field. This is the future of business storytelling.โ€

The new funding will go towards accelerating product development and expanding Gammaโ€™s team to meet surging demand.
