BetterRX Welcomes Marcus Wilson as First Chief Pharmacy Officer

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BetterRX, the leader in real-time hospice pharmacy technology, is proud to announce the appointment of Marcus Wilson, R.Ph., as its first Chief Pharmacy Officer. This strategic addition marks a major milestone in the company’s mission to eliminate medication delays and improve care at end of life.

Mr. Wilson brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling pharmacy operations across hospice, long-term care, specialty, and medical-at-home settings. He has led multiple organizations through significant growth, including Integrity Pharmacy and Bayada Pharmacy, each scaling to multi-state operations before being acquired by private equity firms.

Most recently, Mr. Wilson has served as a trusted advisor to more than 300 pharmacies nationwide, with a focus on automation, workflow efficiency, compliance, and technology strategy. He is known for building smarter systems of care that align pharmacy operations with real-world clinical needs.

“Marcus is a respected pharmacy leader who brings deep expertise and a heart for hospice care,” said Tim Tannert, R.Ph., CEO of BetterRX. “His leadership is critical to advancing our mission and helping us reach even more patients with fast, reliable, and compassionate medication access.”

As Chief Pharmacy Officer, Mr. Wilson will oversee all pharmacy services, clinical operations, and medication strategy. He will lead the implementation of clinical pharmacy standards and operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide the continued growth of BetterRX’s hospice-ready pharmacy network.

Mr. Wilson joins a leadership team of fellow pharmacists, including founder Jared Stong, PharmD, and CEO Tim Tannert, R.Ph. He will also lead BetterRX’s growing team of hospice-trained and experienced PharmDs who support care teams every day.

His arrival comes at a time of strong momentum for the company. In 2025, BetterRX was named to the Inc. 5000 list, and recent independent research confirms BetterRX as a mission-critical partner for hospice providers. Customers report an average of 5 to 6 hours of time savings per nurse, each week, along with improved visibility into cost and care decisions. In fact, 86 percent of BetterRX customers report a reduction in pharmacy-related service failures — a direct step toward the company’s goal of ending needless suffering caused by medication delays.

“I have always been driven by the idea of building smarter systems of care,” said Mr. Wilson. “BetterRX is solving the right problem for the right reasons. I am honored to join a team that is modernizing hospice pharmacy with urgency, compassion, and excellence.”
