Gagan Chahal

Mr. Chahal is an accomplished Data Engineering Leader with over 15 years of expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Services. Currently serving at a US Bank in a Data Leadership role, he leads a dynamic team of BI Developers, Data Warehouse Architects, and Analysts to lead the data engineering and analytics initiatives of the organization. Gagandeep’s role also involves overseeing data governance, ensuring data quality, and maintaining compliance with financial and cybersecurity regulations. Gagandeep is passionate about delivering accurate, comprehensive, and secure reporting and data solutions for the Bank, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration among aspiring data professionals. He comes with an exceptional educational background, with dual Master’s in Engineering as well as an Executive Leadership Endorsement from Cornell University. Gagandeep’s contributions to the field have been recognized with prestigious awards, including Top 100 Data Leaders North America, Men Leaders 2024 award and the International Achievers Award 2024, which reflect his commitment to excellence and leadership. Additionally, Gagandeep is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow Member with BCS, SCRS & IETE, an honor that is conferred upon Engineers and Leaders with outstanding contributions, as well as an author for CDO Magazine, where he shares insights on data strategy and best practices. Gagandeep is also an expert technology judge and mentor for the Future Engineers Org, The Stevie Awards and NASA, showcasing his dedication to mentorship and nurturing future talent in the STEM and Leadership domain.
