Farnborough, UK – 17 August 2026 – Ailias, a UK specialist in AI Digital Humans, has successfully deployed a photorealistic conversational Digital Human of Philipp Heltewig, Chief AI Officer at NiCE, General Manager of NiCE Cognigy and co-founder of Cognigy, during NiCE World 2026.
The deployment formed part of NiCE’s flagship global customer experience conference, where delegates from around the world were able to engage in natural, multilingual conversations with Philipp’s AI Digital Human throughout the event.
Rather than presenting visitors with pre-recorded content or a scripted demonstration, the Digital Human enabled attendees to ask their own questions about conversational AI, agentic AI and customer experience, creating personalised discussions that reflected each visitor’s interests while Philipp continued delivering keynote presentations and meeting customers across the conference.
For Ailias, the project represents an important milestone in the growing adoption of AI Digital Humans within enterprise environments.
NiCE is recognised as a global leader in AI-powered customer experience, and NiCE World attracts an international audience of customers, partners and AI professionals who work with conversational AI technologies every day. Deploying in front of such an experienced audience provided a unique opportunity to observe how people interact with AI Digital Humans when they already understand the underlying technology.
“One of the biggest surprises was how quickly people stopped talking about the technology itself,” said Adrian Broadway, Founder of Ailias.
“Visitors naturally moved beyond questions about AI and began discussing customer experience, strategy and the future of enterprise AI. That reinforced our belief that Digital Humans are evolving into a practical communication tool rather than simply a technology demonstration.”
The project highlighted how organisations can extend the reach of keynote speakers and subject matter experts beyond scheduled presentations.
By enabling delegates to continue conversations throughout the event, AI Digital Humans provide a new way for organisations to make specialist knowledge more accessible, while allowing visitors to explore topics at their own pace and in their preferred language.
Broadway believes this reflects a wider shift taking place across enterprise AI.
“Organisations have invested heavily in making AI more capable,” he said. “The next challenge is making those interactions feel more natural, more engaging and more representative of the organisation behind them. We believe AI Digital Humans have an important role to play in that evolution.”
The deployment also demonstrated Ailias’ philosophy that authenticity extends beyond visual realism. Alongside a photorealistic representation of Philipp, the conversational experience incorporated elements of his personality and communication style, creating interactions that felt familiar, engaging and true to the individual being represented.
As organisations continue exploring new ways to engage customers, partners and employees, Ailias believes AI Digital Humans will increasingly complement conferences, executive briefing centres, innovation hubs, corporate reception areas and customer experience environments, helping organisations make expertise available wherever meaningful conversations take place.
